Amy M. Toepper, Esq.
Amy Toepper is an attorney with more than 19 years of experience, specializing in the areas of corporate compliance and employment law. Amy is the owner of AMT Law, LLC and a co-founder of Legal In A Box, a company that provides access to legal services and forms for entrepreneurs, startups and small business. Amy’s expertise includes contract drafting and negotiating, corporate compliance, and handling employment discrimination matters. She is a trusted counselor who guides her clients through difficult business conflicts. Amy has written and lectured on legal topics relating to employment discrimination, diversity and inclusion, small business corporate compliance, and trademarks. Amy helps small businesses get their legal house in order while providing employment opportunities for women with law degrees who want flexible, alternative work schedules.
Amy is a native-born Chicagoan and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Chicago and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Desiree K. Kumar
Desiree K. Kumar concentrates her practice on civil litigation in trial settings and has tried jury trials to verdict throughout central Illinois, both in federal and state court.
Prior to joining AMT Law, Mrs. Kumar worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois where she defended state employees in civil rights actions. Prior to working as an AAG, Mrs. Kumar was an associate attorney at Momkus McCluskey where she practiced insurance defense and medical malpractice defense. Mrs. Kumar also clerked for Honorable Franklin U. Valderrama in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Mrs. Kumar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2005. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University in 2012. Mrs. Kumar is licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Central District of Illinois.
In her free time, Mrs. Kumar enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, cooking, hiking, and bicycling.
Jaime Bennett focuses her practice on transactional matters, including commercial transactions, licensing, statements of work, GDPR-related corporate compliance and intellectual property. Mrs. Bennett also has experience with residential real estate matters. Prior to working at AMT Law, Jaime was Senior Corporate Counsel for a global software and data provider, developing, negotiating and interpreting a variety of commercial agreements, and overseeing junior attorneys and contract administration. Mrs. Bennett also worked as an Associate for a mid-sized firm in Chicago, Illinois, representing corporate clients in various stages of civil litigation.
Mrs. Bennett is from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and currently lives in Arlington Heights with her husband and two daughters. Mrs. Bennett has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Jyothi R. Martin
Jyothi R. Martin graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004, and received her J.D. from Chicago Kent College in 2007. In 2008, Mrs. Martin joined Pierce & Associates, where she represented mortgage lenders in all stages of consumer Chapter 7, 11 & 13 bankruptcy and foreclosure litigation proceedings. In 2014, Mrs. Martin joined Kropik, Papuga & Shaw, where she represented creditors in State Court and City Administrative hearings for contested and default matters.
In her free time, Mrs. Martin enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, running, and cheering on her Michigan Wolverines.
Sharon Rezac is a business professional with more than 15 years of experience in management, consulting and underwriting, specializing in the legal and insurance industries. Ms. Rezac’s background encompasses operations and enterprise risk management as well as process improvement, project planning and accounts receivable.
Ms. Rezac holds an M.B.A. specializing in Operations Management from DePaul University and a B.A. degree in Business Management from North Central College. Ms. Rezac is originally from the Chicago area and resides in Naperville with her husband and two children where she enjoys volunteering for her local school district and cheering on her daughter’s soccer team.
