Amy Toepper is an attorney with more than 19 years of experience, specializing in the areas of corporate compliance and employment law. Amy is the owner of AMT Law, LLC and a co-founder of Legal In A Box, a company that provides access to business services and forms for entrepreneurs, startups and small business. Her motto is that every business owner, regardless of size, should be able to say, “Let me speak to my attorney.”
Amy’s expertise includes contract drafting and negotiating, corporate compliance, and handling employment discrimination matters. She is a trusted counselor who guides her clients through difficult business conflicts. Amy has written and lectured on legal topics relating to employment discrimination, diversity and inclusion, small business corporate compliance, and trademarks. Amy helps small businesses get their legal house in order while providing employment opportunities for women with law degrees who want flexible, alternative work schedules.
Amy is a native-born Chicagoan and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Chicago and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Desiree K. Kumar
Desiree K. Kumar serves as Of Counsel with AMT Law and currently concentrates her practice on small business, corporate and real estate transactional matters throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. Desiree also has extensive experience practicing civil litigation in a trial setting and has tried jury trials to verdict throughout central Illinois, both in federal and state court. Desiree’s clients appreciate her straightforward and honest advice, designed to resolve legal difficulties and avoid the time and costs associated with litigation. In February 2020 Desiree joined AMT Law and also formed her own law firm, Law Office of Desiree K. Kumar, Esq., to focus on helping clients navigate the legal side of owning and operating a business.
Prior to joining AMT Law and opening her own firm, Desiree worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois where she defended state employees in civil rights actions. Prior to working as an AAG, she was an associate attorney at a Chicago area law firm where she practiced insurance defense litigation and medical malpractice defense litigation. Desiree also clerked for Honorable Franklin U. Valderrama in the Chancery division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
In addition to her legal experience, Desiree is an avid real estate investor. Through her own personal experience in real estate investing and property management, Desiree is able to offer her clients not only legal expertise, but also personal experience in real estate investing.
Desiree graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University. Desiree is licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Central District of Illinois.
In her free time, Desiree enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, cooking, hiking, bicycling and auto racing.

Jyothi R. Martin
Jyothi R. Martin graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004, and received her J.D. from Chicago Kent College in 2007. In 2008, Mrs. Martin joined Pierce & Associates, where she represented mortgage lenders in all stages of consumer Chapter 7, 11 & 13 bankruptcy and foreclosure litigation proceedings. In 2014, Mrs. Martin joined Kropik, Papuga & Shaw, where she represented creditors in State Court and City Administrative hearings for contested and default matters.
In her free time, Mrs. Martin enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, running, and cheering on her Michigan Wolverines.

Eileen Collins-Blackwell
Eileen Collins-Blackwell is a career in-house attorney with over ten years of experience serving the needs of businesses like yours.
Eileen graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in 2001. She went on to attend the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, earning her Juris Doctor in 2010 and her Master of Laws degrees in Employee Benefits in 2012. Dedicating herself to the legal needs of the businesses she has served, in her career Eileen has worked as a corporate in-house attorney for transportation providers, steel manufacturers, paper manufacturers, and third-party benefits administrators. Eileen understands that sometimes a business “needs to check with Legal” and how to be that resource.
Eileen lives in the Chicago western suburbs with her family. She enjoys singing Soprano with Acappellago, a local a cappella choir, cooking, and watching her beloved New York Mets.


Sharon Rezac
Sharon Rezac is a business professional with more than 18 years of experience in operations management, consulting and risk-management, specializing in the legal and insurance industries. Ms. Rezac began her career with Prudential Financial Inc. where she managed a territory of underwriters, assisted with compliance efforts and conducted training. She later expanded into the legal industry, establishing day to day operations, conducting process improvements, project planning, accounts receivable, business analysis and paralegal support.
Ms. Rezac holds an M.B.A. in Operations Management from DePaul University and a B.A. in Business Management from North Central College.
Ms. Rezac is a Chicago native residing in the suburbs with her husband and two children. In her free time Ms. Rezac enjoys spending time with her extended family, supporting University of Alabama football, hiking, gardening, reading and traveling. Roll tide!
